1) We have proof of the omnipotence of the one spirit: every sphere of activity contains power. Let’s take an example. On a boat there is only one chef. Thus, all activities emanate from this centralized authority and are under its control.
2) Only this centralization of power and authority allows harmony to manifest itself in the activities of any organized section of society, or even within an individual. We know the consequences of a power divided or more accurately, of a fragmented authority, without taking into account the central source of motivation. If orders emanate from two different sources to the various centers of activity, the only culmination is confusion, chaos. If the power emanates from more than one center of management, the authority is mined and the structure collapses.
3) When an element holds power or controls the driving force, we are drawn directly and only to it, and then pushed to act with a single objective. Our actions are the result of this unique element, and this allows us to remain in harmony with the central power not to scatter our forces, but to work with the single Force or power.
4) That is why you are always in agreement with the ideals to which you recognize a certain credit. For example, if you believe in the power of the world and your environment, you have the impression of being controlled by hundreds of different sources, which causes your confusion. You do not know whether or not you must obey the apparent demands made to you, here, there, or elsewhere, and this division of consciousness undermines the whole structure of the human being. Then remember this: “The one in whom we have believed, and of whom we are convinced that he is capable of preserving what we have entrusted to him in anticipation of this day.”
5) This unique power exists for every human being, if he takes the trouble of using it. Of course its use is to be consciously directed toward the selected or established goal. Thanks to this strength, our thoughts give birth to a power of action or a thought of unique expression. They can only express what they emit. In other words, the driving principle we set must be manifested. You are his servants to whom you swear yourself to obey and the results must be determined by the work of this driving force which gives you instructions; they cannot exceed the power invested in authority.
(Number (5) will have a repercussion or culmination in the last paragraphs of issue 26 of this chapter.) Take a look at it every time you feel the need to make this connection.
