But this chapter in general, contains everything we need to understand if we put a little good faith, we will know how to live in the world and at the same time, prepare our departure as beings already resurrected from among the dead alive. The living dead are those who are interested in the world that still fascinates them who see nothing serious and would like to stay there forever if they could.
So, one should not set oneself either as impediments to go around in circles, but rather, looking for the door of salvation.
Let’s take a quick tour of chapter 14 of John’s Gospel to see if we have understood the message in all its clarity.
Verse 1 asks us to open our minds and not to worry.
Verses 2 and 3 speak of the father’s house and the dwellings therein.
Many mansions how much? That’s why I recommend you look elsewhere to find the keys of the house and mansions. I am willing to tell you, but I let you ask me because the things we give without solicitations are overused. Another Bible lesson; “Ask and you will receive. Do not be afraid, I will not claim anything in return.
Verse 4 shows us how even the disciples of Christ during his lifetime were vague now, is that why we are invaded by speculators and charlatans who are doing their bidding at our expense by losing us (Hosea 4: 6) to name of Jesus that they call themselves disciples. Let’s see later in this chapter if it’s true.
Verse 5 shows that the path was not so easy as that, if the closest disciple who asked questions all the time because of his disbelief, did not know where the path was.
Verse 6 gives the answer but there is a catch there, it is the (I) taking the (I) to represent the present, we will find some keys that will open many doors and lift many sails or doubts who have set themselves up as masters and who is troubling more than one as verse 1 has said. The result is that we are half atheist and half-Christians because without the clear understanding of this chapter that even the most learned cannot decipher.
We let ourselves be mocked while we stay at the gate believing we are inside the house.
Verses 7-12 are very explicit, they confirm that even with the presence of the Master, the Word Fleshed in person, the closest and most discerning disciples did not easily believe and asked for justification. How can we, after all this time, believe to make any spiritual advance without a true Guide?
Verses 13-15 give another clue to the name of Jesus who has always been misused as the name of the Lord. When one says: In the name of Jesus or in the name of the Lord what does that mean? Nothing, Psalm 23 joins us here, so let’s get out of this Ambiguity once and for all.
The name of the Eternal, of Jesus and of all other Masters or Saints fulfilling the role of True Shepherd, as appointed but not improvised missionaries, to whom the marked sheep are sent to integrate a given flock at each maturation, receive the NAME that only this contemporary shepherd is authorized to confer them as a password with which one can hit the door which opens from the inside, simply by repeating this NAME.
