17) You are right to regard the mind as a consciousness in action, and this is also the case of the consciousness of the spirit. They’re synonymous. Each of them can become latent or immerse themselves in the individual, but not in the external reality. However, if the outside is similar to the inside, the mind does not immerse itself in the individual, it is only latent. Only man thinks that the mind is immersed. Moreover, he may even become non-existent because he is not aware of his presence. Nevertheless, consciousness is always existing and awakens instantly as soon as it is projected towards the spiritual reality-constant phenomenon.
18) Consciousness is the leading factor rather than the engine of the spirit. It therefore has an indispensable role, when the spirit sends its vibrations, or even to intensify the vibrations of the mind and bring them to their true state, provided that the consciousness is in accordance with the spiritual reality.
19) Today, many scholars come to the same conclusion, as regards the underlying cause of all things. These scientists dissolve the whole structure of the substance and reduce it to an original energy identical to that of the spirit. The spirit is omnipresent. It has been discovered that all the elements, including radium, concentrating in a single prime element-the original energy. This energy, in the final analysis, is not a blind but intelligent force. Scientists even admit to some form of electricity that seems manifested in intelligence. This ubiquitous creative energy, behind all things, is conscious of itself, aware of its action and its way of acting. That is why we call it the spirit or God. It is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient as the Bible says.
20) When man assembles in his consciousness the activities of a principle, he begins by confirming: “I am that.” It thus concentrates the authority of the principle itself, the assertion: “I am” makes the spirit dynamic instead of letting its abilities rest, as soon as we focus our thoughts on these words. This moment of concentration is always the center, and from it emanate the authorized orders that control and determine the whole status of the manifest man, the I am must be used to indicate the true state of man, and not what he seemed to be has his Own eyes, in a visible form. “I am what I am” the embodiment of the driving authority of the universe. Apart from this “I am” there is no real existence, only illusion.
