The Quest for the Pearl
“And they made compact with me, and wrote it in my heart,
So that it should not be forgotten: “If you go down to Egypt,
and bring the Pearl, which is in the middle of the sea.
Hard by the strong-breathing serpent,
[Then] again you’ll put on your shiny dress and your toga,
That is laid on it, and with your brother, our next in line,’’
You will be the heir of our kingdom.
This short part of the poem narrated below, says in a nutshell, the whole story of creation.
Parents who “compact” with the soul show that the creation, and the condition to which the soul has fallen by coming here, is entirely of the Lord’s design. The parents sent the soul forward. It is the Lord’s doing, as strange as it may seem to us. The parents say or the Lord “decrees” that the purpose of the journey of the soul in creation and especially in “Egypt”, the physical realm is to find the “pearl”, which is in the middle of the sea, hard by the strong-breathable snake.
This, then, is the purpose of human life, the purpose of taking a human birth. The ‘ ‘ Gnosis ‘ ‘,
Spiritual Enlightenment or the true knowledge of God. The essence of God.
The pearl is also the life force or the soul, the essence of God in all of us.
“Ocean” is another Gnostic image that occurs fluently, used as a metaphor for the ocean of the material universe, which is constantly swept in storms and storms of darkness and death.
“Hard by the Serpent” The Sea is the “strong-breathing of the serpent”. The waves.
This refers to the impulses, attachments and desires of our always active human mind, influenced by the senses and desire for activity in the world, whether it is apparently good or bad.
If we consider it, we will see that we can do nothing in the world, if not under the influence of our mind.
And the mind is never calm. It is constantly moving “strong breath”.
Just as you cannot ignore a person who breathes hard in your ear, we are as well unable to ignore our mind.
All desires and plans are in the mind. All the actions are preceded and accompanied by a mental activity, however ephemeral.
Under the influence of the mind, man is loving, generous and amiable or he is wicked, angry, lustful and egocentric.
But in both cases, he is deeply involved in the business and attachments of physical life.
Indeed, at this physical level, our sense of self is housed in the mind. It is certainly a “strong-breathing” snake that does not give us peace or happiness while being so deeply bound in the material world’s “ocean”!
In addition, the mind, being so active and materially inclined, never think of the Pearl, the spiritual enlightenment of the soul or the power of life that gives us life and being.
Yet, says the poem, the parents of “The Soul” have written in his heart “that his goal would never be completely forgotten.
This refers to the fact that the soul has never really forgotten its divine origin. It is part of the divine purpose.
If we sit quietly by ourselves and look honestly into ourselves, we will see that there is always a feeling of something missing.
Even if we have all the comforts of the world, a good harmonious family life, a beautiful home, a job we love and so on, even then, if we sit quietly and allow our intimate feeling to surface, we will find that there is a feeling of something missing.
It is the natural desire of the soul for its own region, its own kingdom, its true home with God. To the east.
This meaningful poem has many similarities with the biblical parable of the prodigal son. They both imply that we have left the rich house of the Father to enter the world of action and the sacrifice that he had to make for us to be so fulfilled and happy from birth. This approach is part of the process intended to make us aware of the importance of who we are and the value of all the riches that God has provided us so that we glorify him for what he truly is and so that we become worthy to enter into possession of our eternal kingdom. But to achieve this, a lot of effort and sacrifice are necessary, because just as the spirit of happiness which animates us and which reminds us from the depths of ourselves of the beautiful celestial memories through music, sex, sharing , success and other experiences that thrill us at times; matter allows itself to be pierced with great difficulty before revealing to us its secrets which constitute the pearl of great value with which we must one day present ourselves before the creator for his greatest happiness and our greatest good. To better ensure the success of this journey, he has provided us with everything we need and expects us to make good use of it at the appropriate time. All this is clear and clear. However, what I fail to grasp is the difference between spirit guides and Jesus. The Bible speaks of the latter as being the messiah, the savior of the world and the one who must judge the living and the dead. In this sense it has become the cornerstone of the corner and the door to the sheepfold. It is also known as the rock of centuries. Why don’t all the other living teachers want to guide his disciples in the name of Jesus only? For it is said in the Bible that no other name was given in heaven and on earth to save than that of Jesus. My friend, would you like to enlighten me more on this subject?
Jesus’ mission is completed on earth through his gospel. If you love me, keep my commandments, he declared.
A modern-day Master must recognize the importance of his message which aims for the perfection of those applying who must one day become like the heavenly Father. There is no conflict when it comes to the goal of each spiritual guide, but the problem lies in the methods used to achieve it. Because, very often some of these methods contradict each other and reflect the desire for a mutual rejection of one pedagogy over another. “I have made your Name known to the men you gave me.” By saying this, Jesus implied that God does indeed have a Name of his own. However, the very idea of a single name is incompatible with hundreds of thousands of Masters who each communicate the name of God to their disciples. To respect the idea of this unique denomination of the one true God, the Masters will have to drink from the same source. The teaching of Christ is therefore the foundation on which to build so that the house will be strong. If the Bible is the reference book par excellence in matters of spirituality, it is fashionable to cling to it. “Every spirit that confesses that Jesus is not the Christ does not come from God” says the Apostle John.
Consequently, the notion that Jesus is the cornerstone places him at the center of debates in order to realize whether he is the perfect Model that all other Masters must follow or not.
Thank you for your contribution my friend in the work of re-education of others.
Who can say that they are not leading their flocks with the same name that Jesus had given to his disciples until now? Which I very much doubt, and who would know?
If anyone knows this name yet, that would be great. It would prove that no progress has been made if Jesus’ sheep were hanging around here until now.
Here is how the Masters of Sant Mat explain this matter of name:
17:4 I have glorified you on earth, I have finished the work that you gave me to do.
Explanation :
I have filled my disciples with love and devotion to You. They had forgotten You by loving the perishable world, but now I have turned their faces towards You. “I have completed the work you gave me to do. » Christ does not say that he can save all souls after his death. He declares: I have completed my mission; I have nothing more to do in this world.
Like all true Masters, Christ was in constant communion with the Father, and naturally he had no need to express himself in words.
Whatever Christ says to his Father, he says for the benefit of his disciples. He knew and his Father knew, that his task was finished, and that he would now merge again with the Father, but he said all this out loud for the sake of his disciples, to comfort and comfort them.
17:5 And now you, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world began.
Explanation :
I have completed my mission, says Jesus. So, Father, bring me back to You, where I was before I came here. Take me back to where we were before You created the world, before creation was. I was with You then, and I desire to return to You now, because my mission here on earth is completed.
17:6 I have made your name known to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me; and they have kept your word.
(Who can be proud of having been one of these men?) EN
Explanation :
I gave birth to love and devotion for You in the souls You gave me, says Christ. They were Yours to begin with, before creation, but then they were lost in this world, and You gave them to me to bring back to You. They have now been connected to Your Word – Shabd, or Nam – and are on their way back to You.
Are we not still in the Christian era?
The current Masters do not come with a new message other than that of love, therefore, the Comforter does not announce anything more than Jesus had already said. The order is well established.
