My book on Autism explained spiritually

Vairagya

Fundamentally, Sushumna is attribute-less, it has no quality of its own. It is like empty space. If there is empty space, you can create anything you want. Once energies enter into Sushumna, we say you attain to Vairagya. “Raga,” means color. “Vairag,” means no color, you have become transparent. If you have become transparent, if what is behind you is red, you turn red too. If what is behind you is blue, you turn blue too. If what is behind you is yellow, you turn yellow too. You are unprejudiced. Wherever you are, you become a part of that, but nothing sticks to you. Only if you are like this, only if you are in a state of Vairag, then you will dare to explore all dimensions of life when you live here.

Right now, you are reasonably balanced, but if for some reason the outside situation goes crazy, you will also go crazy in reaction to that because that is the nature of Ida and Pingala. It is reactive to what is outside. But once the energies enter into Sushumna, you attain to a new kind of balance, an inner balance where whatever happens outside, there is a certain space within you which never gets disturbed, which is never in any kind of turmoil, which cannot be touched by the outside situations. Only if you create this stable situation within yourself, you will dare to scale the

What is Enlightenment?

Perhaps one the most frequent queries that consumes a seeker’s mind are the questions “What is enlightenment? Can spiritual practices enlighten me?” Sadhguru, a yogi and mystic with the experience of three enlightened lifetimes, answers these questions.

Satguru: In India, enlightened beings have been referred to as Dwijas. Dwija means twice-born. Once, you were born out of your Do not judge, so that you will not be judged.mother’s womb; it happened unconsciously. You did not make it happen – nature did it for you. When you were born, you came with a certain innocence and blissfulness. A child is innocent and blissful by himself. But since this blissfulness did not happen consciously, anybody can corrupt it in no time.

In no time, they will take it away… For some of you, it was taken away by the time you were 12 or 13 years of age; for many it was already taken away when they were 5 to 6. Children are becoming tense at 5 to 6 years of age today because their innocence gets corrupted in no time, depending upon the volume of influence that people around have on them.

Nowadays, corruption begins in the womb, and society doesn’t care; it’s as if human wellbeing is the least of its concerns.

On a spiritual note.

Now, if you have to be born once again,

(A Daily process) you must die first. That is the real (Meditation) . If you are not willing to die, the question of being reborn doesn’t arise. “I die daily said the Apostle Paul in the ChristianBible .”

This does not mean dying physically.

If you leave this body, some other nonsense will be waiting for you. But if you die the way you are, if you destroy everything that you called “myself,” then you are born once again. This kind of birth happens 100% consciously. Once again you become blissful and innocent, but fully aware. Now, this blissfulness cannot be taken away by anybody. So, what you call “enlightenment” means a conscious self-annihilation.

Right now, most people are not thinking of enlightenment. They are just trying to live a little better. They want to live a little more peacefully, joyfully, more efficiently, more effectively. We can use yoga for that also. It is a poor way of making use of yoga because yoga is capable of delivering you to another dimension of life; but it’s okay. If people are not satisfied with what they are seeking in their lives, they will never seek anything higher. If you talk about enlightenment to somebody who is hungry right now, he only thinks of food. Whatever people feel is missing right now in their life needs to be taken care of to some extent. Otherwise they will not seek anything higher.

Similarly, if you ask most of family members of an autistic child to read a book on autism, they will retort that they don’t have the time, because they have many appointments with their autistic children, and , unless your book can operate miracles, unaware that half an hour a day spent reading this book will help them perform the miracles they expect to find elsewhere.FR

Even though I do not advertise any form of yoga, but, the high esteem I hold for Satguru for his tremendous work in the world to accompany people in their spiritual development, I am pleased to present to you his community: Isha Yoga.

Isha Yoga is offered in such a way that all dimensions are included but nothing is compulsive. When we initiate people into the kriya, it is taught in such a way that everything is available. We don’t want to deny anyone enlightenment just because they don’t know it. We want to create a taste of another dimension so that they will seek it. At the same time, nothing is forcing itself upon you; you can use it any way you wish to. If someone were an ascetic and a “fulltime” yogi, I would initiate them in a completely different manner where the way they should go is compulsive. But generally, I will not initiate someone in a compulsive way. I initiate them in such a way that they can make use of it in many different ways and it still stays alive.

Seeking physical wellbeing is one thing. Seeking enlightenment is something else.

Seeking physical wellbeing is one thing. Seeking enlightenment is something else. To enhance physical wellbeing, you need to learn different techniques of self-preservation. Enlightenment means a conscious annihilation of yourself. For most people, it will take a certain amount of time and maturing to understand that whatever you make yourself to be, in the end, it is frustrating and not enough. However wonderful you make yourself, still it is not enough. Only when you disappear, everything becomes wonderful.

So, if right now all someone wants is to be peaceful and happy, and do better in the activities they are doing – let’s have that, it’s okay. That doesn’t mean enlightenment is ruled out, but such a longing has not come yet. Still, the basic longing is to live better. You are not yet finished with life – you want to live well. When you have lived enough and you know that living better is not going to get you anywhere, then you want to go beyond life.

“Mystic’s Musings” includes more of Sadhguru’s insights on the nature of human emotions and the power of devotion. Read the free sample or purchase the ebook.

Speaking from an inner experience combined with a clear understanding of the fundamental mechanics of Enlightenment, Sadhguru throws light on whether a Guru can guarantee mukti, if there are other enlightened beings at Isha, and much more. Watch all episodes only on Sadhguru Exclusive.

One more thing:

This is for parents and caregivers.

In my book on autism, I refused to consider autism as a consequence of karma. However, reflecting on what I’ve observed in various centers, including:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Occupational and Speech Therapy

I’ve realized and concluded that autistic children are hungry souls, searching for the best possible nourishment. It’s no coincidence that they were born into a particular family, because they wouldn’t have found what they were looking for with just anyone.

Do you want to know what that nourishment is?

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Based on what I observe in these environments, therapeutic centers should be valued and renamed:

*Kind and Attentive Care*.

The question is: who benefits? Those who give or those who receive?

Both, but especially those who give, because you can’t give what you don’t have. Children don’t just receive gifts 🎁; they help us discover our natural gifts (our talents), which would otherwise remain untapped. It’s a win-win situation. This also applies to parents and family.

Karma is the consequence of having too much of what we possess.

Fortunately, love is inexhaustible: the more you give, the more you have to give.

This doesn’t mean, however, that we shouldn’t do everything we can to help autistic people integrate as fully as possible into their daily lives.

  1. Your book powerfully conveys the idea that the human body is a true living laboratory, where the deepest mysteries of the universe are revealed. You rightly remind us that balance in this duality that shapes our existence lies within ourselves. The wisdom to preserve health, the capacity for transformation, and even the keys to profound well-being already reside within each of us; we simply need to learn to enter this process of inner healing.

Thank you for offering such an inspiring book. Your approach provides a valuable and encouraging perspective, and it opens a path of hope for all those seeking to better understand autism and to accompany this journey with sensitivity and humanity.

  2. You are right, my friend. My book aims to get people out of a vicious circle of scientific speculation and logical reasoning that tends to encourage them to accept a phenomenon created by bad human behavior and which, if we are not careful, risks disrupting an entire human generational process.
